Minoh National Park is a wonderful place to visit during your Osaka stay. Worth the visit.
We took the Minho Waterfall hike. The path is well maintained and bathroom stalls and vending machines are available throughout the trail. It's an easy and manageable hike for all. Takes around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed.
The highlight of our trip was the observatory route we took short as we started our hike to the waterfalls. It's a series of very steep stairs that goes for 400 meters with 300 meters elevation. The scenery at the end is breathtaking and worth the effort!
Highly recommending the park in general!
Nice place to hike. The place is very well maintained and the food on offer is tasty. Toilets are remarkably clean and the trails are spotless. Such a great contrast to the national parks of countries like Malaysia, which can be horrific and poorly managed in so many ways. None of those issues here. Places like this make me love Japan and its culture so much.
One of the most beautiful trails I've come across since moving to Japan. The main path is fairly easy to walk but if you want something a little more strenuous, take one of the side paths. These side trails have little secret scenic spots that are worth a detour.
Walking the trail to the waterfall in Minoh National Park remains one of our best memories of our maiden trip to Japan. This was made all the more special that it snowed gently on our way down. We overheard some locals exclaiming it was the first snow in that area. Loved everything about it. The nature, the scenery, the serenity. We will definitely be back there the next time we travel to Osaka.
Wonderful spot to be one with nature in a modern city like Osaka. The foliage is soooo beautiful 😍 Got to see a combination of greens, yellows, oranges and reds plus a refreshing falls at the end.
This park despite being so raw is extremely accessible. Paved all the way, saw a lot of parents with strollers, seniors loving the hike and even one on electric wheelchair!
